Das Keyboard ist immer noch ein tragendes Element, doch dank Einsatz von echtem Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre und vereinzelt sogar Blasinstrumenten klingt die Geschichte abwechslungsreicher und organischer. Und wenn's doch mal wieder um dieses Thema geht, so ist es gar nicht mal so doof, sondern tatsächlich lustig verpackt: In "Orgy for One" etwa geht es darum, dass die Gruppensex-Orgie nicht ausfallen muss, nur weil alle Teilnehmer bis auf einen abgesagt haben, "Heart Boner" und das Intermezzo "Romance Novel" thematisieren Dannys ganz eigene Vorstellung von Romantik.
Insgesamt ist "Cool Patrol" ein gelungenes Album geworden, das schon allein wegen der kompletten Bandbesetzung angenehm anders ist - allerdings vermisse ich einen richtigen "Hit" der Marke "Dragon Slayer" oder "Everybody Shut Up I Have an Erection ", den man schon nach dem ersten Mal nicht mehr aus dem Gedächtnis bekommt.
Aber wer Ninja Sex Party bisher kannte und mochte, macht mit dem Album-Kauf - ich empfehle wieder einmal, die CD-Variante schon allein wegen des schicken Booklets dem Download vorzuziehen - nix verkehrt.
